Embark on a 6-day journey from Marrakech through the spectacular landscapes of southern Morocco. Begin by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass at 2260 meters, stopping in Ouarzazate to visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Taourirte. Continue toward Tinghir, known for its lush palm groves, where you'll spend the night. On day two, travel to the Merzouga Desert to witness the breathtaking dunes, enjoy a camel ride to your desert camp, and sleep under the stars in nomadic tents. The third day includes a sunrise camel ride, breakfast at the camp, and a journey to Zagora with a stop at the famous "Timbuktu 52 days" sign, ending the day with dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day four takes you deeper into the desert, heading to Mhamid and Chegaga with a break in the dunes and an overnight stay in a Tuareg tented camp. On day five, enjoy a sunrise camel ride, then travel to Ouarzazate with stops in Foum Zguid and Tazenakht, known for traditional carpets. Visit the film studios before dinner and overnight in a charming hotel. On the final day, explore the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, then drive back to Marrakech via the scenic Telouet route with a lunch break and a visit to the Glaoui Kasbah, arriving in the evening at your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We were so lucky to have gotten Saed and his brother Mohamed as our tour guide and driver for our 9 day trip across Morocco!
