Aspiring sailors and adventure seekers can step aboard a Catalina 34 for an immersive, hands-on sailing experience across the waters of New York Harbor. This two-and-a-half-hour session is designed for immediate participation, allowing guests to begin learning practical sailing skills from the moment they board. With no classroom instruction required beforehand, the experience emphasizes real-world application in an active maritime environment.

Participants are introduced to essential safety procedures and onboard operations, including the use of safety equipment, radio communication systems, and navigational charts. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, guests gain a working understanding of how a sailing vessel operates while navigating one of the world’s most iconic waterways. The focus remains on learning by doing, ensuring an engaging and memorable experience.

Throughout the session, participants practice key sailing techniques such as docking, knot tying, anchoring, and understanding basic rules of the water.
