A guided sightseeing tour across St. Kitts is offering visitors a comprehensive introduction to the island’s cultural heritage, colonial history, and natural landscapes. The journey begins in Basseterre, the capital founded in 1625, shaped by both English and French influences and known for its collection of historic landmarks and public spaces.

Key stops in the capital include Berkeley Memorial at the Circus, Independence Square—once a marketplace linked to the island’s enslaved history—the Co-Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and St. George’s Anglican Church. From there, the route continues along the coastline toward Romney Manor, a historic estate once associated with the Jefferson family and now home to Caribelle Batik, where traditional fabric-making is still practiced.

Visitors are guided through the estate’s lush gardens, which feature a wide variety of tropical plants and a notable centuries-old African Samoan tree.
