CANOEING : Děčín - Schmilka 3.5 hrs

Your journey begins at Camp Děčín, where you are provided with a canoe or kayak, paddles, a dry bag, and a short on site safety briefing before setting out on the water. The route takes you along a scenic stretch of the Elbe River into neighboring Germany, offering a peaceful and immersive paddling experience of about fifteen kilometers through the breathtaking Bohemian Switzerland National Park. Along the way, you glide through dramatic sandstone canyon landscapes, calm waters, and natural surroundings that make the region one of the most beautiful river corridors in Europe. The paddle typically takes around three to four hours, depending on water flow and pace, before reaching the charming riverside village of Schmilka.

At Schmilka, the tour concludes on the riverbank near the ferry point, where you can relax and explore a local microbrewery or café while enjoying stunning views of the river and surrounding cliffs. From here, you have flexible return options including a cycling experience, where bicycles are provided after boat collection for continued travel along the Elbe cycle route. A small cash fee per person is required for ferry crossing and bike use. You may also choose to return by train via the nearby station after crossing the river by ferry, or cycle toward nearby towns along the riverside paths. All equipment must be returned by early evening, and a late return penalty applies if exceeded.
