ASA 103

This course prepares students to confidently skipper a sloop rigged auxiliary powered keelboat in real world conditions. Through hands on learning and guided instruction, participants build strong foundations in boat handling, sail control, safety awareness, and decision making. By the end of the program, students will be capable of operating a keelboat independently during daylight hours in moderate wind and sea conditions, while maintaining control, awareness, and responsibility on the water.

Students are encouraged to come prepared for a full and engaging day on the water. Bringing essentials such as lunch, closed toed non marking footwear, a non alcoholic drink, sunscreen, sailing gloves, a brimmed cap, or rain gear ensures comfort and focus throughout the training. The course fee includes all required study materials along with examination fees, making it a complete learning experience designed to build both knowledge and practical confidence.
