Just had a fabulous transfer with Brayner ( driver) from puerto viejo to La fortuna. Met us at our hotel with a nice air conditioned vehicle, snacks and drinks. His English is very understandable He was conscious our needs and stopped when we needed. Even stopped at a bank to get some money exchanged. We ate at a 24 hr soda which had delicious food. Highly recommend him and the company as well.
Arenal Star deserves all of the stars. Bryner (spelling?) was a masterclass driver and host. His english was great and he worked on teaching my wife and I spanish! He stopped for us to get some crazy fruit we had never eaten before, and provided free snacks and beverages in the car. I would 100% recommend Arenal Star and hope to use them again the next time we visit the beautiful country of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
We had a wonderful ride from La Fortuna to Liberia airport. Keny was our driver and she was amazing! Super friendly, safe driver, and pointed out all kinds of things for us to see along the ride including toucans and steam from venting volcanos in the distance. We could not have had a better experience.
Fantastic driver and guide! Briner was my driver and he really came through for me. He went out of his way to make sure that the experience was a good one over the course of a lengthy drive to the northern part of the country to the jungle lodge where I was staying. He showed me a number of fantastic sites, see pictures attached, and had an attitude of kind hospitality throughout. The most important thing to know is that this group is run by really nice people who want you to be comfortable and to have the best experience possible. Do not hesitate to hire them. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with beautiful people and you will come away feeling that vibe after spending time with this group. And yes, that’s a family of sloths that Briner knew about and took me to see!
Pablo drove us from Liberia airport to La Fortuna and then a few days later from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio February 2025. We originally planned to rent a car but mountain roads can be tricky and once we met Pablo and instantly felt welcomed and at ease we decided to cancel the car rental and leave it to his professional service. This was the best decision we could have made for our trip! He had the best local tips in every town along the way. Made us feel so comfortable with the clean and air conditioned van. He provided binoculars and spotted wildlife along the drive that we could stop and take pictures of. We got to stop for local delicacies such as freshly made cheese, mango pico de gallo, dates and sugar cane candy. We finished our day with the best fish tacos and had a view of the sunset near Jaco Beach. He is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. You can stop as little or as much as you would like. He makes you feel like family. His local knowledge is invaluable and made our trip the best! I highly recommend Pablo for your transportation. You can have much more than just a ride to your destination but rather an unforgettable experience!
