On this memorable day, we will depart from your hotel and head toward the beautiful Poás region in Alajuela. Along the way, we’ll make a special stop to learn about one of Costa Rica’s most treasured exports—coffee. During this brief visit, you’ll have the chance to walk among the coffee bushes, hear about the traditional cultivation process, and appreciate why it’s often called our “golden grain.” This scenic stop also offers a fantastic photo opportunity of the Central Valley, framed by the natural beauty of the surrounding plantation.

Afterward, we’ll continue the journey through the fertile highlands, passing by vibrant fields of ferns, colorful flowers, and strawberry crops that thrive in the cool volcanic soil of the region. The combination of lush landscapes and agricultural richness paints a vivid picture of Costa Rica’s rural charm. This scenic route not only highlights the country’s farming traditions but also connects you with the rhythms of local life before we arrive at our main destination near Poás Volcano.
