At the summit of the Poás Volcano, visitors are treated to breathtaking views of its massive main crater, one of the most prominent volcanic craters in the world. On clear days, the panoramic vista expands even further, offering rare glimpses of both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea from a single vantage point—a truly awe-inspiring experience. As the journey continues, we descend toward the historic city of Cartago, where we make a meaningful stop at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels. This revered site is the most important religious sanctuary in Costa Rica, drawing thousands of pilgrims each year who come to pay homage and seek blessings from the Virgin of the Angels.
Our day concludes in the peaceful and scenic region of Orosi, where La Hacienda Orosi is nestled among lush rainforest and surrounded by abundant natural beauty. This serene location is home to ancient thermal springs, known for their rich mineral content and soothing properties. Unlike volcanic hot springs, these telluric waters are naturally heated deep within the Earth’s crust, emerging at temperatures above 65°C. The thermal pools, set amidst the rainforest, offer a rejuvenating and tranquil experience—perfect for unwinding after a day of cultural and natural exploration.

It was a number one attractions for us in entire Costa Rica! We have been in Tabacon hot spring as well, but we liked this place much better than Tabacon. It is a small compare to the other big name hot spring places, we particularly liked atmosphere and surroundings.

How beautiful! Looking for a spiritual awakening or a time of refreshment and renewal, or just a wonderful day with the family, everything is supplied. Here we spent most of our day at the miniral baths with the complementary mud rich in minerals. Our skin was like silk after! the beautiful surroundings and the beautiful birds, paradise! but they also have a farm and a coffee tour and the food there is also to die for I will definitely come back a day to remember.

I've been here 3 times now. I would probably first have given 3.5 stars. The man made hot pools are nice and supposedly they get the water from a heated source in the ground! But that's where it ends. both times I ordered multiple food items off the menu. The ordering process is odd. and the food is sub par. And for the price its awful! The prices here are ridiculous. To me it doesn't really make the soak worth it. This is a clear tourist trap. They also really aren't that friendly there. They know they are ripping you off. They are rather pretentious and not welcoming. The third time I was denied entry because I brought my own food. And they couldn't handle that I didn't want to eat their shitty over priced food. This is the type of tourist trap that's what's wrong with areas of Costa Rica.

Great service everyone was very helpful and friedly. It was a great experience for the kids. The thermal pools were awesome and there are a lot of activities to do. The food is also good. Will definitely return.

Highly recommend a day trip to this beautiful property. The hot springs and views are a dream. The food was fantastic. Nixon was friendly and helpful. Have fun with the mud! We went on a Monday and practically had the place to ourselves. We did the 5K coffee tour hike. It’s self guided and no actual coffee was available but it was a beautiful hike.
