After a comfortable 30 to 45-minute drive in an air-conditioned vehicle, visitors are welcomed into the home of a traditional Zulu healer, known as a Sangoma or Inyanga, for an authentic introduction to one of South Africa’s oldest spiritual traditions.


The highlight of the tour is a private 45-minute consultation, during which the traditional healer shares insights based on ancestral guidance and long-established cultural practices. Sangomas are respected spiritual advisors who communicate with ancestors, while many also practice traditional herbal medicine using indigenous plants. A guide is available to assist with translation, ensuring visitors can fully appreciate the experience.


The consultation fee of R300 per person is payable directly to the healer in cash and is not included in the tour price. This personal encounter provides a rare opportunity to learn about the beliefs, customs, and healing traditions that continue to play an important role in many Zulu communities today.


Following the consultation, guests continue their cultural journey through the peaceful surroundings of rural KwaZulu-Natal, gaining a deeper appreciation of local traditions and everyday life.
