Rabat, Mdina & San Anton Gardens | Half-day

This half-day excursion takes you through some of Malta’s most historic and scenic sites with an English licensed guide. The tour begins at San Anton Gardens in Attard, surrounding the official residence of the President of Malta, the San Anton Palace. Built in the early seventeenth century as a country villa for Antoine De Paule, a knight of the Order of St. John, the palace is set within beautifully landscaped gardens that have been partially open to the public since 1882. Guests can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the manicured paths, admire fountains, sculptures, and rare plants, and capture photographs of the palace and gardens’ striking architecture.

The journey continues to Rabat, a historic suburb of the old capital Mdina, where visitors explore St. Paul’s Catacombs. These ancient underground burial sites date back to Roman times and hold significance as the place where St. Paul is traditionally believed to have stayed during his shipwreck on Malta in 60 A.D. The tour concludes in Mdina, Malta’s medieval capital, also known as the Silent City.
