Great! Friendly and very informational. Very thorough and considerate. A must activity for those who love being in front of the camera!

Really worth checking out out! James was super knowledgeable and engaging when it came to the history of the areas we explored. Also, as a solo traveller I rarely get good photos of myself on my travels. This tour allowed me to get some really great shots in interesting settings that I wouldn’t think of myself. Would definitely recommend to everyone especially solo travellers.

The tour was excellent. Perfect for solo travellers because it combines history and a great photoshoot. They took care of us really well, it’s like going out with old friends. Highly recommend!!! It’s so much fun and you learn a lot about South Korea’s history. Tip: Dress for the weather

This evening walking tour was very informative and a lot of fun despite the dark and spooky theme… you actually do learn a lot of Seoul and Korean history while strolling down the lively streets. It’s also a great way to discover the different neighborhoods of Seoul and what they have to offer.

This was THE BEST tour hands down! Joe was amazing and not only knowledgeable but told the stories in a personable way like he was sharing it with friends. You could tell he was passionate about the history of Seoul. It was so much fun. I highly recommend, you won’t regret it!

Best Tour for Solotravellers! And the photos also turned out good

I really enjoyed this tour which was informative and fun. I liked the combination of history lesson, information on the neighborhood and photoshoot. Both James and Jacob are doing an excellent job!

I went on this tour last night. I'd only booked the short version and ended up paying extra to do the extended version. It was really great! The guide Joe was really knowledgeable and has studied Korean history extensively. We were only a small group which made it feel a little less overwhelming for someone who is a little afraid of big groups of people. We walked and chatted and learned a lot of cool but kinda creepy stories. I won't mention any of them here as I don't want to *spoiler alert* anything. However the art of story telling seems to be a dying one but this was a great example of why it should not. Apart from having to make a dash for the train station in absolutely pouring rain at the end I would say it was a really great way to spend a night!

I went on a Dark Side of Seoul ghost tour 5 years ago and went again on my most recent trip and brought my Mom. This was a fun and interesting tour filled with some familiar and new tales. Shawn is a great tour guide. He was my tour guide both times I visited. On the tour you get to see many parts of Seoul at night and some historic buildings as well. This tour has a lot of walking. We probably covered 2-3 miles or more. I highly recommend this tour as a fun activity while on vacation in Seoul.👻

The Dark Side of Seoul Tour was amazing. There are two versions (weekday and weekend) with different guides and in different areas of the city. Both of them are definitely worth it. Shawn and Joe are great guides and tell the stories in a way that draws listeners in. The tours do not compete with each other, instead one tour is almost like a continuation of the other and vice versa. In my opinion both of them are worth checking out. And if you easily get scared, don't worry! Just grab a change of underwear with you and go!
