We had such a nice experience! We booked the last show of the day, and it was really interesting—especially when you open your mind a bit and accept that it’s not only about the lava show, but also about the history of Iceland and all the fascinating information they share. We had a great day, and this was our last activity—a perfect finishing touch to our day trip.

The Live Lava Show in Vík was absolutely incredible! Watching real lava flow right in front of us was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced — it’s mesmerizing! Our guide, Luis, made the experience even more special. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and clearly loved what he does. His explanations about Iceland’s volcanic history and geology were fascinating and easy to understand. If you’re in Iceland, this show is a must-see. It’s a perfect mix of science, storytelling, and pure wonder. Thank you, Luis, for making it such a memorable experience!

The Lava Show was quite nice and not too expensive. It was interesting to see real lava up close and learn about the process. However, we expected a bit more excitement. The experience felt more like an educational high school lecture than an intense, thrilling show. Still worth seeing, just manage expectations.

The lava show was amazing!!! Both my 9 and 6 year olds loved the show but we were all amazed by it. The presenter (can’t remember his name) was so good at interacting with the kids and explaining everything. It was cool learning about volcanos along with how the show was run. Also, the heat from the lava was really powerful in the room and it was cool feeling that sudden change in temperature. We definitely would recommend the show. We wish we had more time to visit the other show in Reykjavík to learn about that volcano system.

On a rainy day in Vik, my significant other and I decided to do the lava show spontaneously, especially since it was difficult to be outside when it was cold and windy. We were pleasantly surprised by how interesting the show was. We were expecting something gimicky but the information about types of lava and the background on the volcanos in Iceland was interesting, and the lava melting was pretty cool. If you’re a science geek, this is for you!
