This thrilling self-drive combo tour offers two unforgettable Icelandic experiences on separate days—an exhilarating snowmobile adventure on Langjökull glacier and an exciting whale watching tour from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour. The snowmobile tour begins at Gullfoss Café, where you’ll park your car and meet the Mountaineers of Iceland team. From there, a highland bus transports you to base camp, and a massive monster truck takes you up to the glacier. At the camp, you’ll be geared up with warm overalls, gloves, helmets, and boots before receiving a safety briefing and snowmobile instructions from friendly professional guides. Riding across the vast, snowy terrain of Langjökull offers breathtaking views and a true sense of adventure. Snowmobiles are shared between two riders, but solo riding is available as an optional add-on. The whale watching tour, scheduled separately based on your chosen date, begins at 13:00 from Reykjavík’s Old Harbour. You’ll exchange your voucher for tickets at the Elding ticket office and then board the whale watching boat, equipped with panoramic indoor seating, outdoor viewing decks, a cozy café, restrooms, and warm blankets or overalls. Led by experienced marine guides, the 3-hour cruise through Faxaflói Bay offers the chance to spot humpback whales, minke whales, dolphins, and porpoises in their natural habitat.
