Wonderful opportunity to paint tiles in Lisbon. All supplies were provided as well as a detailed description and instructions as to how to do it. You can either use a stencil to create a traditional pattern or free hand your vision. You do need to return in 30+ hours to pick up your creations. You will make either 6 small tiles or 1 big tile + 2 small tiles. This is a must do in Portugal and gave me a greater understanding and appreciation of the beautiful tiles all around us. Cozy, authentic environment and patient instructor. Start your workshop at the café across the street for a delicious, inexpensive lunch.

Such a fun and unique thing to do while in Lisbon. It was a great break from walking and sightseeing for our family. I was a little worried about our (well behaved) 7 and 9 yr olds, but they were able to participate without any problems. The designs were much harder than they looked, but our tiles all turned out great. Be sure to do this in the beginning of your trip to allow for the 2-3 day time for the tiles to finish/bake. Miguel was patient and a good instructor.

This tile class was without a doubt one of the top highlights of my trip to Portugal! It’s perfect even if you’ve never tried anything like this before. Martina is amazing with introducing you to tile painting - walking you through the process, guiding when needed, and giving you plenty of freedom to be creative. The whole experience is relaxing, fun, and such a special way to spend time in the city. I’d wholeheartedly recommend doing this on your trip to Lisbon!
