The Scout Ranch Explorer experience welcomes younger scouts and first time riders into a friendly ranch environment where learning and fun happen together. The program begins with a warm ranch greeting and a safety introduction that helps scouts understand how to behave around horses with confidence and care. They then take part in a grooming activity where they learn how to approach a horse calmly, brush its coat, and understand simple horse behavior. Scouts also observe basic saddling preparation and see how wranglers get horses ready for riding while explaining important equipment and ranch routines.
After the preparation session scouts enjoy a guided arena ride with experienced wranglers leading the horses to ensure a calm and enjoyable experience. Throughout the event scouts remain involved in hands on horsemanship activities including learning about tack, horse feed, and proper care after riding. The program creates a supportive atmosphere that builds confidence while introducing responsibility and teamwork. The entire experience focuses on safety, respect for animals, and outdoor learning while giving scouts memorable time around horses in a relaxed ranch setting.
