Tour of the Lobkowicz Palace

The Lobkowicz Palace offers a fascinating museum experience that allows visitors to explore Bohemian and European history through the perspective of the Lobkowicz family and their private collections, one of Europe’s oldest and finest. The museum spans over two thousand years of art history and features highlights including paintings by Bruegel the Elder, Canaletto, and Velázquez, medieval and Renaissance works of art, arms and armor, and ceramics including the largest surviving seventeenth century Delft dinner service in the world. Visitors can also see fine musical instruments and hand annotated manuscripts, such as Mozart’s reorchestration of Handel’s Messiah and Beethoven’s third, fourth, and fifth symphonies. Guests are accompanied with a free audio guide narrated in English by two generations of the Lobkowicz family and the collection curators, with twelve additional languages available. An optional Prague InSpires Panorama audio tour allows guests to see the city’s most iconic landmarks from the palace balcony in under thirty minutes.

In addition to the museum, the palace features a gift shop, a restaurant and café, daily classical music concerts, and elegant event rooms with panoramic views of Prague. The full tour duration is one hour and thirty minutes with a highlights tour available in one hour. Private tours can also be arranged upon request.
