Begin your journey with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Kraków and travel to the breathtaking Ojców National Park, nestled in the Jurassic Plateau between the Prądnik and Sąspówka rivers. Explore the famous Trail of the Eagle's Nests, dotted with over 400 natural caves, each telling a story of geological and historical wonder. One of the tour's highlights is the awe-inspiring Club of Hercules rock formation—an iconic limestone column that stands proudly against the landscape. As you continue, you'll arrive at Pieskowa Skała Castle, one of Poland’s finest Renaissance landmarks, built in the 14th century by King Casimir III. Perched dramatically on a limestone cliff, the castle now houses a branch of the Wawel Royal Castle Museum.
Your adventure continues with a visit to the charming wooden Chapel of St. Joseph, famously known as the “Chapel on Water,” a unique religious site constructed above a stream. You’ll also explore the romantic ruins of the Gothic castle in Ojców, surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of the national park. With lush forests, dramatic rock formations, and centuries-old architecture, Ojców offers a perfect blend of nature and history. After soaking in the scenery and stories, you’ll head back to Kraków, completing a rich and memorable day in one of Poland’s most enchanting landscapes.

I enjoyed this castle and its museum even more than Wawel. It’s less crowded, offers a relaxed self-guided tour, and features fascinating artifacts, including period wardrobes and furniture. Surrounded by forested hills, the scenery is especially beautiful in the fall.

Interesting castle and good guide, however the object is not accessible by elderly or disabled people due to very steep location and no lift, there's no public transport, paid parkings are terrible (there are ticket machines that won't work), no cellular coverage, and no WiFi available to visitors. We drove 100km just experience the same issues others did...

Not as much things as I expected to see. Most of the exhibits were not used or appeared during the time. After visiting, I am kind of confused. Maybe following with a guide would be better to know the history of this place.

If you are a foreigner, take note that there are only tours in Polish are available and no audio guides are available. Also, if you arrive at 9:15am when the castle opens, the exhibition rooms only open at 10am. Same thing with the toilet. Personally, I am underwhelmed by the castle. It's small, poorly managed and the exhibition rooms are tiny. There's not much to see. If you are looking for a castle close to Krakow to visit, Wisnicz castle is cheaper, grander and much better organised.

It was a fun experience. It would have been better if we could have taken an English tour, but we still had a good time poking around on our own. We also explored the surrounding area and saw a few monuments on the way back to the car. We also ate at the restaurant and it was fantastic!
