Our journey begins as we travel to my beautiful hometown of San Pablo Villa de Mitla, surrounded by mountains and vast agave landscapes. For my family mezcal is more than a drink it is a living tradition deeply rooted in our culture and daily life. As we walk through the agave fields you will learn how different agave plants shape the unique flavors and aromas that make mezcal special while enjoying stunning scenery and memorable moments together.

We will then visit my family artisanal distillery where the traditional craft of mezcal making continues with pride and dedication. I will guide you through each step of the process from roasting agave in an underground stone oven to the careful distillation that creates its rich character. You will experience the passion behind every drop and understand why this drink holds such meaning in our community. The journey ends with a tasting of several mezcal varieties paired with a delicious local meal inspired by the flavors of Oaxaca.
