Von Bodman zur Marienschlucht

Along the scenic shores of Lake Constance, the journey begins near the peaceful village of Bodman. From here, paddlers glide across calm waters while the dramatic Bodanrück Ridge rises with rugged slopes and deep natural gorges. The canoe route follows the edge of dense forested mountain flanks where untouched nature surrounds the lake. Fresh air, quiet waters, and beautiful scenery create a calm and immersive outdoor experience. The highlight of the journey is reaching the romantic Marienschlucht Gorge, a secluded natural spot where travelers pause on a small beach to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Even though the gorge trail is closed for hikers, canoe visitors can still safely stop by the shoreline to appreciate the beauty of the landscape and the gentle rhythm of the lake.

After the break, the group continues paddling together back toward Bodman, enjoying more panoramic views across Lake Constance and its surrounding woodland hills. The guided canoe excursion is led by trained professionals from the Federal Association of Canoe Tourism who provide safety guidance and helpful instructions throughout the trip.
