Aquila game reserve safaris, park fees and transport and lunch

Your day begins with pickup from your hotel around 8 AM by an experienced tour guide and driver. The journey to Aquila Game Reserve takes you along the scenic N1 route, passing through some of South Africa’s most historic towns. First, you’ll drive through Stellenbosch, founded in 1685, known for its charming thatched-roof buildings and rich Cape Dutch heritage. Next is Paarl, settled by French Huguenots in 1688, and one of the country’s oldest European settlements. You'll then pass through the impressive Huguenot Tunnel, a toll tunnel that shortens the journey by 11 km and offers a faster, safer route through the Du Toitskloof Mountains.

Before reaching Aquila, there’s a short stop near Worcester, a major town in the Western Cape known for its wine, agriculture, and historic significance. Founded in 1820, it’s also home to schools for the blind and deaf. The final stretch brings you to Aquila Private Game Reserve, established in 1999 by Searl Derman, with the vision of sharing wildlife and conservation near Cape Town. Upon arrival, enjoy a relaxing lunch followed by a thrilling Big 5 game drive. After the safari, you’ll head back to Cape Town, wrapping up a full day of culture, scenery, and wildlife.
