Take your first breath underwater with the SSI Try Dive program, a beginner-friendly introduction to scuba diving designed for those with no previous experience. Lasting approximately two to three hours, this exciting adventure offers a safe and enjoyable way to discover the underwater world under the guidance of a professional SSI instructor.
Your experience begins with a short theory session covering the essentials of scuba diving, including how to use the equipment, breathe comfortably underwater, communicate with hand signals, and follow important safety procedures. The briefing provides the confidence and knowledge needed before entering the water.
After the introduction, you'll head to a calm beach dive site with shallow, clear water that is ideal for first-time divers. Starting in waist-deep water, you'll practice breathing through the regulator and become familiar with the equipment before gradually descending to around one meter to develop confidence and basic underwater skills.
Once you're comfortable, your instructor will guide you on a relaxed underwater swim to a maximum depth of five meters, giving you the opportunity to experience the incredible sensation of weightlessness while discovering the beauty of the underwater world.
