Young sailing enthusiasts are being offered the chance to build on their existing knowledge through the RYA Youth Sailing Stage Two course at Aztec Adventure Upton Warren. Aimed at children who have already completed Stage One, the programme is designed to enhance confidence and develop more advanced sailing techniques in a safe and supportive setting.

Led by trained and DBS-checked instructors, the course focuses on improving skills across all points of sail. Participants receive practical instruction in essential manoeuvres such as tacking and gybing, while also learning important ropework techniques, collision avoidance procedures, and basic course navigation to help them sail safely in a variety of conditions.

Throughout the programme, children are encouraged to challenge themselves on the water, refining boat control and increasing both speed and confidence. All necessary equipment, including buoyancy aids, is provided, allowing participants to concentrate fully on their learning and enjoyment. Parents and spectators are welcome to observe sessions from The Boat Shack or the lakeside terrace.

Successful completion of the course demonstrates that young sailors can confidently manage a range of key sailing skills and operate safely on the water.
