Alp, was an excellent guide. He was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. We visited the palace on a Saturday and it was very, very busy so unfortunately we had to rush around to get to see as much as possible. It is a very big, very expensive attraction and I would recommend allowing the best part of a day to visit it. There are very few refreshment stalls inside but it may be possible to take a picnic and rest in one of the courtyards. I don’t know if this is allowed though. There is airport style security as you enter. The palace is beautiful and its history fascinating. The price of entry was the equivalent of about £50 a head when we visited. I did not enjoy the Grand Bazaar as it was very busy and the stall holders are there for the hard sell. It is quite gaudy. Alp took us to a delightful cafe, where we drank tea and coffee, but the bazaar was very hot and so I left quite quickly. I would recommend this tour, but there is a huge amount of walking. Maybe better to go in the morning.

i paid for a guided tour, but the guide was quite content to have me explore on my own, then met me afterwards. at first I thought this was the norm, until I saw other guides with their clients inside the exhibition rooms. like paying for a diamond and getting glass instead. he gave a general spiel, but it could've been much better. I was quite pissed off actually.

This tour was a total waste of money. For the first part, the guide basically walked us to the sultan’s palace, gave a few platitudes about it (that I had already read on wikipedia), and then left us to our own devices for an hour; he offered no value, insight, or experience. For the second half of the experience, a “tour” of the Grand Bazaar, I was expecting an actual tour, to talk about its history, and various inner secrets to see. Rather, he simply walked us there, left us at the main gate, and told us to “watch our belongings”. It was a complete bust.’ The only time he became remotely animated was when I told him I wanted to visit a hammam, at which point his eyes lit up with a recommendation; at least he admitted he’d get a commission there if I went. For my $100CAD, I almost wish I hadn’t wasted my time at all – it was a rip-off.

We went on the Istanbul: Full-Day 2-Sides City Tour (9 hour) with Lunch & Boat Tour on 05/11/2024. It was as advert said . The weather was a little chilly but Jeff and Matt and the rest of the their team from Istanbul City Tour Daily were very knowledgeable about the places we visited and allowed enough time at each location to explore individually. Food was basic but nice and fresh. Highly recommend for tourist wishing to see all the major sites in Turkey from both the Asia and Europe sides. We had a very nice day. Thank you.

This is a nice tour for the price. They offer hotel pick ip and drop off, which takes approximately an hour. Our group was 18-20 people. Guide was okay. Beware they bring you to a fur store for the usual tourist pitch. I did not appreciate it. Also the following day i took a free walking tour and found the tour guide there be more knowledgeable.

We booked this tour last night very late. It was based on Google search. Amazingly such late in night we got an excellent support from management, arranged so quickly, very genuine price, bus was too comfortable. Very timely picked up from hotel, too good driver..Both the guides Ali and May an excellent knowledge, very supportive. Lunch offered was too good as well. 5 star in all areas, highly recommended.

Wonderful tour agency! Picked us up from our hotel right on time. The bus was always ready and conveniently pulled up to meet us to go between spots. Lunch was amazing with more food than we could finish. Very elegant with great service. I highly recommend this company! We would have done a second tour if we had the time. We loved this tour so much!
