Spend a full day discovering the fascinating fish of the Mediterranean Sea with a qualified marine biologist at Dive2gether Crete. Learn to recognize key taxonomic families, understand their defining features, and explore how body shape relates to behavior, feeding strategies, and ecological roles. This educational experience helps you connect species identification with life history traits and ecosystem function, deepening your appreciation of marine biodiversity.
After meeting your instructor at 830 am, travel to a sheltered dive site for a detailed species identification briefing. You will complete two guided dives in the clear waters of the Eastern Mediterranean Basin, practicing your new identification skills underwater. A 90 minute lunch break at a beach taverna separates the dives. Return to the dive school around 4 pm to review optional photos. Completion of the theory e learning portion is expected before your diving day. Lunch is not included.
