Had a tour and wine tasting here. The woman doing the tour was amazing and friendly (though I think more info in the wine rather than estate would be more interesting) The cellars were impressive. We took the Super paremium tasting : 2015 white pasmados (very interesting!), 2017 Periquita superior (meh, too oaky and smoky for me) and 20yrs moscatel blend (very good) -1 for rip-off juice price for kids: 8.5€ per small glass of simple bottled pear juice, 17€ total. Not cool…

A winery with lots of history and great wines. We took a tour and had a tasting. Very informative tour and beautiful property and gardens.

We booked the €117 package for two people, which included lunch and a guided visit with wine tasting. To begin with, I sent an email asking for a few clarifications. I must say, the response I received was very promising. The lady who replied, Margarida Almeida, was extremely kind and helpful, leaving a great first impression. Upon arrival, we were directed to the restaurant where our table was already reserved. The meal was simply delicious—truly a highlight. After lunch, we joined the guided tour of the estate. We waited just a short while, and the guide arrived right on time. Her name was Matilde, and we were lucky to be the only ones on that tour. Since it was our 10th wedding anniversary on July 25th, having what felt like a private tour made the experience even more special. Matilde herself was the cherry on top. Her friendliness, deep knowledge of the place, attentiveness, and calm, thoughtful way of explaining everything turned the visit into something unexpectedly delightful. The tour ended with a wine tasting of four wines: one white, two reds, and one Moscatel. But since we were celebrating our 10-year anniversary, Matilde surprised us with a 10-year-old Moscatel—and what a difference compared to the younger one! And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, she brought us a 20-year-old Moscatel, which was absolutely mind-blowing. All in all, I would say that people like Margarida and Matilde truly make a difference. Thanks to them, our experience went beyond expectations and became something truly exceptional.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at JMF. Booked a private tour and tasting. The staff was knowledgeable, passionate, and very welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The setting was beautiful, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax and take it all in.

We had a lovely time in this charming and sometimes haunting winery. The old world charm and shadowy cellars were full of deep rich smells and ancient cobwebs and haunting Gregorian chants. The staff was friendly and the wines were amazing. We bought a few bottles.
