Marine biology dives - for certified divers

Join a hands-on seagrass restoration experience and contribute to the health of vital marine ecosystems in Plakias. Under the guidance of experienced marine biologists, you will learn about the importance of Neptune grass, participate in planting activities, and observe the microscopic life thriving on the seagrass. The day begins with a briefing, fitting of diving gear, and a dive in the clear waters to evaluate and care for the underwater meadows. After the first dive, you can relax, enjoy refreshments, and prepare for the second dive to continue your underwater exploration and restoration work.

Following the dives, participants return to the diving centre for a lab session where microscopes reveal fascinating creatures and insights into the seagrass ecosystem.
