Beide Destinationen sind absolut traumhaft. Der Peekaboo Slot Canyon ändert je nach Sonnenlicht die Farben und die Great Chamber ist absolut beeindruckend und unvergleichlich. Die Strassen waren echte Offroadabenteuer. Unser Guide war top! Er gab uns Informationen zur Geologie, zur Flora und Fauna und zur Geschichte dieser wundervollen Orte. Ausserdem verhalf er uns zu den besten Fotos. Der Trip war das Highlight unseres bisherigen Trips! Sehr zu empfehlen!
You DEFINITELY WILL need a 4x4 and with experience driving & navigating deep sand. We drove in with our Lexus GX470. We started out without air down and almost got stuck in a deep sand area (because we picked the wrong route). You will see many different tracks but follow the one that you feel least sandy for you. Driving in is all downhill so don’t think driving back is the same effort (it’s much harder driving up sandy hills) Momentum is your best friend, so keep moving. DO NOT slow down or stop! Bring recovery gear and ropes so if u are stuck ppl can pull you out, we saw plenty of ATVs and tour trucks. The hike is doable if you are fit and don’t mind walking in sandy trail. The slot canyon is beautiful and easy walk.
Do the tour, enjoy the ride in and out and leave the stress of not getting stuck to the tour guide. Super sandy and you're not getting there without 4 wheel drive. We'll worth the price.
