Begin your journey through Madeira with a scenic drive past the cultivated fields of Ribeira da Alforra, where you'll see a rich variety of local produce, from vibrant vegetables and fruits to banana plantations that thrive in the island’s fertile soil. The adventure continues with one of the tour’s major highlights: the glass skywalk at Cabo Girão, one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs. Standing 580 meters above sea level, this viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and coastline. From here, the 4x4 tour takes you off the beaten path, winding through the forested highlands to reach the stunning viewpoints of Boca da Corrida and Boca dos Namorados, offering dramatic vistas over Curral das Freiras, Eira do Serrado, and the central mountain peaks of Madeira.
As the tour winds down, you’ll journey through the grape-growing region of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, known for its terraced vineyards and traditional winemaking. The final stop is the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, where colorful boats rest in the small bay, and where Winston Churchill once found inspiration for his paintings. Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy a perfect mix of nature, culture, and history—making this a truly unforgettable Madeira experience.

The one star is for the view even you can see most beautiful views around the island. 3 € is the entrance fee which is way expensive without any service in return for visitors, as you have to pay for the toilets if need them and glass bridge is very small and there is another glass view point for free on the northern side of the island.

Good parking facilities and an easy stop to make. Entrance is €3 per person, which felt a bit cheeky, but the view itself is beautiful and worth seeing. There are toilets, souvenir shops, and a few snack options available if you want to take a break here.

Fun place. Medium crowded, but you could still get your photos without too much difficulty or wait. There's a nice cafe (coffee place) and big souvenir store. It's a reasonable price to go out on the glass floor overlook.

The Cabo Girao Miradouro is well worth the considerable uphill drive needed to get to it. It's only €3 to get in (per person) but note that to use the restrooms is another 50c per person. There is a good cafe and gift shop on site too. There is limited parking however so whilst there are a few car parks they are small and this is a popular location so I advise visiting either early or late afternoon if you can. The views are simply remarkable. The height is immense and the views are something you cannot really capture on a photo, it's something you need to experience. Highly recommend checking this out when on the island.

Beautiful spot with amazing views. Only 3 euro to enter. You can buy a ticket online in advance, or at a self- service ticket machine. There was a short line to buy the ticket on the machine. You enter by scanning a QR code on your ticket. There is an attendant there to help if needed. There was plenty of parking when I was there, but it got a bit crowded after my arrival. You can see a beautiful view of the coast and the ocean below. You can see neighboring small farms or gardens. There is nice landscaping with pretty flowers and plants. Well maintained. Shops, restaurants and bathrooms (for a fee). I recommend it!
