Chincoteague Island is one of the most beautiful places to visit. The best way to experience all the island has to offer is by boat. The name Chincoteague comes from an Indian word meaning beautiful land across the water. Touring the islands by water lets visitors see the same views the natives enjoyed long ago.

Snug Harbor offers Carolina Skiffs for rent with a nine point nine horsepower motor that accommodates up to six people. The boats are perfect for fishing or exploring the Assateague channel. Instructions are given on how to operate the boat and where to go. A fishing license for everyone on board is included along with a full tank of gas and life jackets. Full day rentals run from eight am to five pm. Half day rentals are available from eight am to twelve pm or one pm to five pm. All bookings are final and non refundable.
