Exceptional day in every way. Firstly what can I say about Chris - the driver and our guide. Well, perhaps he's the best guide and driver in the entire country of Scotland. He was witty, friendly, knowledgeable, brilliant driver and all round 100% credit to the tour operator. The tour itself was great, every stop offers immense experience with outstanding beauty seen everywhere. The brand new Mercedes small bus was VERY comfortable and was immaculate. The 12.5 hour day offers many comfort breaks and sadly was over too soon (yes it does not drag on at all). For the money this tour must be the best value for money my wife and I have ever experienced. We will be back next time we visit Edinburgh and hopefully we'll get Chris as our driver and guide again. HIGHLY Recommend 5 ⭐.

First time to Scotland as a solo traveller and last minute time off work booked The Highland Experience Tours three day trip from Edinburgh to Inverness and Skye. And so glad I did. I will genuinely never forget the experience. Travelling the first week of January with train cancellations on the way to Edinburgh because of snow and blizzards, there was myself and a young couple on the tour who had decided to chance the weather! We were joined on day two in Inverness by another solo traveller. As a small party we were incredibly lucky to have lots of freedom to hop on and off the bus to take in the beauty, the (very cold) air and take photos. Our guide Alex was superb. He kept us safe navigating the snowy blizzards, rain and sleet. He was knowledgeable, amusing and spot on telling us some fantastic stories of Scottish history and folklore. I understand so much more now, and still believe the Loch Ness Monster could be out there! The scenery on the tour was literally breathtaking, Glencoe, Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, beautiful Skye, and time to meet and feed some hairy Highland coos! We were unable to visit Culloden battlefield which had closed because of knee deep snow, so Alex diverted to Falkirk to see Andy Scott’s Kelpies which are phenomenal. Despite the cold I smiled for three days. I am seriously thinking of selling up and moving to the Highlands. Take this trip - it is genuinely wonderful.
