Your First Step Toward Flight Training begins with a structured and immersive introduction to the world of aviation. The Pilot Experience is thoughtfully designed for those considering formal flight training, offering a hands-on opportunity to step into the cockpit and take the controls under the guidance of a professional instructor. The session opens with a comprehensive pre-flight briefing and aircraft preparation, where you will learn how weather and conditions influence flight, review essential safety procedures, and understand aircraft systems. You will also be introduced to aircraft taxiing, gaining insight into how pilots maneuver on the ground before departure. Flying in a Tecnam P92, you will quickly move from theory to practice, building confidence as you prepare for takeoff and your first moments in the air.

Once airborne, you will spend much of the flight at the controls, with your instructor carefully guiding and supporting you at every stage. You will practice fundamental flight skills, basic maneuvers, and air traffic communication while learning how to navigate using maps and onboard instruments. As you fly, you may identify local landmarks such as Carrum Inlet and Cranbourne Racecourse, developing situational awareness and real-world navigation confidence. The experience may also include demonstrations such as controlled gliding, allowing you to better understand aircraft performance. As you return for landing, your instructor will guide you through the approach while keeping you actively involved. After touchdown, a detailed debrief gives you the opportunity to reflect on your flight, ask questions, and explore the next steps should you wish to continue your aviation journey.
