The Butler Ledge section of the Salmon River, locally known as the “slamming salmon,” is drawing attention as one of the most intense spring and early summer whitewater adventures in the region. Starting at the USFS Butler Ledge access point, the run is recognized for its powerful Class IV conditions, offering a demanding mix of fast-moving water, technical rapids, and striking wilderness scenery that appeals to experienced paddlers.

The journey begins with the fast-paced Miracle Mile, a continuous stretch of Class III to IV rapids that requires strong focus and teamwork from participants.
