Portugal Premium Tours was recommended to us by a friend in California, US, who used them. This was the best group of professionals you could ask for. We hired them for 2 days, one in Porto and the other in Lisboa. Both guides were great and adapted to what we wanted, v.s. a set unchangeable program. It was raining in Porto, so our guide, Francisco took us to a Mercado and then the Train Station, which was originally scheduled in the afternoon, but they were both inside and scheduled the boat ride when the rain stopped....PERFECT! Filipa in Lisbon did a great job accommodating my needs and we visited the shore line and was able to stop and buy our souvenirs when visiting the beach was not much of a draw as we are from California. We shared meals and they became friends......what a great job! Thanks for making our Portugal Trip memorable

We had a wonderful 10 day tour of Portugal with Portugal Premium Tours. Everything was planned, very organized and went off without a hitch. As we requested, our time was balanced with free time, guided sightseeing and activities. The guides were fabulous, so friendly and knowledgeable and the accommodations were 5 star. This is our second vacation with a Zicasso referred tour company and we will continue to trust them for future travels.

Had a great experience with Portugal Premium Tours! My family and I booked a half day tour of Lisbon, which started in Belém with a mandatory stop at Pastéis de Belém, and a sunset sail and we absolutely loved it. Our guides were very knowledgeable and super friendly. Everything was well planned ahead of time. Highly recommend.

Incredible experience travelling Portugal with Portugal Premium Tours! We had an incredible experience touring Portugal, thanks to a great itinerary, attention to details and comfort, luxury travel in a Mercedes Benz and our amazing guide, Carlos Cordeiro. From start to finish, Carlos was kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. His passion for the country shone through in every story, historical insight, and local recommendation he shared. Carlos gave us a well-rounded and thoughtful overview of Portugal—its rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes. Whether we were walking through the narrow streets of Porto, enjoying the coastline in Algarve, or exploring hidden gems, Carlos made every moment engaging and memorable. We felt well taken care of and appreciated how patient and attentive they were throughout the trip. It truly felt like we were exploring the country with a friend who knew all the best spots. Highly recommend to anyone looking to experience Portugal in a meaningful and enriching way! ⸻ Would you like to personalize it further with their name or the tour company?

In April 2025, my three sisters & I thoroughly enjoyed a 10-day trip to Portugal & Spain with our outstanding guide, Herlander! He truly felt like one of the family! He was kind, funny, knowledgeable, professional & his ability to speak multiple languages facilitated smooth transitions wherever we went. As a guide, he had extensive knowledge about the sights & history, but also really helped us understand & appreciate the culture as well. My sisters & I really enjoy architecture, history, culture & learning all we can when we travel. He “tolerated” our feeble attempts to speak Portuguese ;) & tried to help us learn new phrases, which was a lot of fun! As a driver, we were in awe of his skills in maneuvering our WiFi-equipped Mercedes van (affectionately nicknamed "Myrtle") in extremely tight streets, parking garages, & spaces. He kept us on track with a consistent schedule, was always prompt, well-prepared, & provided us with water & umbrellas when needed. We had a blast! “Herlander’s great…” ;) We highly recommend Herlander! For our specific tour, we started in Porto, Portugal & ended in Madrid, Spain. We trusted Joana, our contact person, to help us experience the “must sees” & she, & Herlander, delivered! Our major stopping points in Portugal included Porto, Douro Valley Wine Region, Aveiro, Coimbra University, Lisbon & Evora. In Spain, we explored the Alentejo Region, Seville, Cordoba, Granada & Madrid. The architecture in all of the places was amazing & a highlight for us! From castles to cathedrals, to a mixture of old & modern design in the cities, there was so much variety, unexpected beauty & grandeur. In the countryside, we appreciated the variety of rolling hills, mountains (some even snow-covered), grape vineyards, cork trees, almond trees, & miles & miles of olive trees, giving us an insight to the heritage of Portugal & Spain. Such beautiful countries! A few highlights in Portugal: *A “most beautiful” bookstore (Livraria Lello). *Several wine tasting tours. *Different style boat rides, including an amazing sunset sailing trip in Lisbon. (Jose & Filipa welcomed us with wine, cheese & snacks while we enjoyed stunning views such as the Monument of Discoveries, Belem Tower, 25th of April Bridge, Central Square of Lisbon, & Christ the King monument overlooking the city). *A Portuguese meal & wine tasting by winemaker Rafael, who shared his family’s vineyard (Maos) history & was so much fun! *Coimbra University, Portugal’s oldest university (once a royal palace), featuring a Bell Tower, Chapel & breathtaking Joanina Library (Temple of Wisdom). *A Fado show (folk singing) with our guide Ana’s surprise performance! *A fascinating cork factory, learning how cork is harvested from the tree & made into products! *The beautiful Cathedral of Evora & eerie Chapel of Bones. *A medieval village & castle (Monsaraz) with spectacular views of the largest man-made lake in Europe (Lake Alqueva). *A bullfighting ring (still used today) within the castle grounds & learning the difference between Portuguese & Spanish bullfighting. *A hand-made pottery shop with machine-like precision. *The Alqueva Dam that controls the majestic Alqueva Lake. Portugal was amazing & we barely touched the surface! Highlights in Spain: *The Gothic Cathedral of Seville (stunning!) with the tomb of Christopher Columbus & a bell tower we hiked up 34 floors to the top. *Plaza de Espana (setting for several movies). *Setas de Sevillas (“mushroom” roof landmark) & a Flamenco dance show! *The Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. *The Palace of Alhambra in Granada… amazing! *The Chapel of Madrid & Madrid Royal Palace. *The “Bear with the Strawberry Tree” statue (touched the tail for good luck). *The (forgotten ;)) Fountain of Cybele, with her chariot pulled by two lions. Finally, but not all, *Toledo’s spectacular panoramic city view & tour of stunning cathedrals & synagogues. So much to see! Spain was incredible too! We highly recommend Portugal Premium Tours’ unique customizable model to get the most out of your traveling adventures. We certainly did!
