Had the most incredible experience with Tropical sky. We went to Singapore and Bali and everything went so smoothly, including several transfers. I was a bit anxious as we were travelling with the kids but the planning and any communication was brilliant and even recieved curtesy calls before and after the holiday. Would definitely recommend. I dealt with Sunny, she was always very prompt with emails, was available for questions and checked a few different options for me so I could book what was most comfortable and suitable for us.

I have just returned from a holiday in Thailand organized with this agency. Overall it went well. However, we had to face a difficult situation twice. When we arrived at the hotel in Bangkok (after 12 hours travelling), we found out that the agency did not make the payment to the hotel. Upon arrival the hotel told us our booking was cancelled. We were shocked considering that the agency made us pay in full for the entire holiday 3 months prior to the start of our vacation. We looked for a 24 hour helpline in a booklet they gave us and couldn't find one. They only gave us a number for a local company that deals with hotel transfers. They don't deal with issues like this. We also couldn't find any out of hours number online on their website. We then had to wait at the hotel reception for 2 hours until the UK/IRL office opened so that we could call them and straighten out the situation. When we finally spoke to the travel agent on the phone, she blamed the hotel, stating they should have asked us for a credit card to hold on file and let us in right away. The hotel told us this wasn't their usual policy. I thought it was strange that she was apologizing for the behavior of the locals, when in reality she should have been apologizing for the mistake made by Tropical Sky. The Thais were not the problem. They were being as accomodating and helpful as possible. Eventually, after some back and forth we were let in. I asked the travel agent on the phone to send me a follow up email to confirm that the payment was made and also to provide the emergency contact number. I did not receive any email from her. The next morning I had to check with hotel reception to see if they had received the payment. They did. Although I thought it was odd that Tropical Sky did not send me a follow up email confirmation. One day before transferring to the next leg in our journey, given that this already happened once, we decided to proactively contact the second hotel to ensure the same problem wouldn't arise. But the second hotel replied to me via email telling me they were still waiting on the payment! I therefore once again had to spend almost an hour on the phone with the travel agency asking them to make the payment before we would arrive at the second hotel. This time I was promised a follow up email and did receive it. Apart from the hotel issues, the holiday went well. However, the reason you book with a travel agency is to not have these issues. We not only had them, but twice. And instead of an apology they tried to push the blame on the only people who were helping us. Due to this reason, we will not be using their services again.
