I visited the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres in the summer 2025 and it was great experience after visiting Pubol Castle nearby. The museum is special because Salvador Dalí was born in Figueres (where you can also see his birth place) and he wanted this place to be his main museum. It was built on the ruins of an old town theatre that was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. Dalí designed the museum himself, so everything inside shows his creativity. From the outside the building already looks unusual with towers and eggs on the top, and inside it is even more interesting. There is a lot to see and it really feels like you are inside Dalí’s world. You can see paintings, sculptures and rooms created by Dalí. Some parts are fun, some are strange, and others make you stop and think. It is a good idea to book tickets online in advance, especially in the summer, because it can be very busy. The ticket price is average for a museum and fair for what you get to see. You can easily spend a few hours there. There is also a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs connected to Dalí and his surrealist art, which is a nice way to remember the visit.

Although it was crowded in the day we visited the museum, I totally recommend it. You can spend half a day there and you don't know when the time flies. The museum is huge and modern, it has a lot of rooms and if you like Dali's art you must visit it. If you come by car, there is a parking just acoss the museum.

Girona was beautiful with all of the old buildings and history, the museum was very interesting

Great place to visit and so much to see! Fascinating to learn how the theatre building was brought back to life with Dali’s’ works which are both inspiring and thought provoking. Really enjoyed visiting.

Absolutely astounding. Every part of the museum, designed by Dali is meant to feel labyrinthine and it does, you seem to be going in the wrong direction and yer you are not. The art is, well, Dali and so, fantastic. The museum shows that before surrealism Dali was schooled in other forms of art. Within the museum he pays homage to other artists. As expected the museum is always busy. My tip would be to fo in at your alloted time and hang back a little so that people get ahead of you. Do not be rushed, take your time.in truth, I think I would need 3 visits to take it all in. The only downside to the whole experience is the temperature. The museum is very warm and the air is close, for me this was a little difficult (I'm asthmatic) but it was truly worth the minor discomfort.if you get the chance then go.

The Salvador Dalí Museum is a remarkable place to explore. It houses an impressive collection of the artist's surrealist masterpieces. Visitors can immerse themselves in the unique and imaginative world he created. The museum offers a journey through his iconic imagery and creative process. It is a truly inspiring destination for art enthusiasts and the curious alike.

We had a great tour guide, Sara, who is very well informed. Her presentation was educational without being boring. She was very helpful.

Miri was an amazing guide! She provided a great overview of Girona and Figueres. You get to see the highlights in your time there and she kept the the group organized and on track. This is a lot to see/drive to in one day, so it's truly a highlights tour, which I felt was ample to get a quick overview of each place. However, this is not the tour for you if you want a long time to explore either place. You have an hour at the Dali museum and about 90 minutes in Girona on your own after the walking tour. Get lunch to go in Girona and walk fast on your own! It was enough time to walk the walls, bridges, and see the cathedral.
