Main train hub in Zurich, Switzerland. The station is spacious with two sections: one for train operation, and the other for shopping. During year-end festive season, the central area is decorated with a giant LED-illuminated chandelier and Christmas theme decor throughout. Several food booths with regional menus to serve visitors, there are vin chaud (hot wine) booths during cold weather as well - definitely its drink will keep body warm. At the first glance, the station seems lacking bench for waiting passengers - maybe the intention is to invite waiting passengers to patron on-site restaurants. A little exploration would take waiting passengers to the lower level where there is a waiting room with rows of benches for resting. A restroom trip would cost 1.5 euros payable with a phone-tap - on the train itself, it is free 😉
This this one of my favourite favourite Place as well as best Railway Station in the whole Europe. I used the station for over 25 years since 1992, by 2025 this Railway Station has developed and developed and when I enter the main hall, I feel like inside a 5 * Star Hotel. This is one of the best international connection HUB in Europe, You can travel to anywhere in Europe from here. The SBB Service is 99.99 accurate and functional and purpose oriented.
We just arrived from Paris with the TGV Lyria, and Zurich HB made a great first impression! The station is huge, yet the directions are clear and easy to follow, so finding our way around was no problem. Everything is very clean and well-organized, with lots of shops and facilities inside. It feels safe, modern, and efficient—exactly what you’d expect from Switzerland. I would definitely love to come back here again soon!
