Paddle through the calm waters where the Manistee River meets Manistee Lake and continue toward the open shoreline of Lake Michigan. This two hour water adventure begins near the river mouth and guides you along a scenic channel through downtown Manistee. Enjoy unique waterfront views, passing boats, marinas, and natural shoreline as you move at a relaxed pace suitable for all ages and experience levels.
The route flows from Manistee Lake out into Lake Michigan, where you can finish at either First Street Beach or Fifth Avenue Beach. You may choose to leave your car at the beach and receive a ride back to the starting point, or arrange pickup at the end of your trip. Great trip on a gorgeous sunny afternoon. The skipper was very informative about the lake's history - the people and stories of times gone by - as well as geographical features & current local landmarks. The scenery was stunning and the cruise relaxing.

A most comfortable and relaxed way to take in the many wonderful sights and views adjacent to Lough Leane. We boarded the 11:00 am sailing on board the Pride of the Lakes and found our seats on the starboard side of the boat. Our tour was hosted by Frank, who regaled his passengers with anecdotes and not a little history. He had a very witty way about him and was thoroughly entertaining. During the latter part of the tour he encouraged the youngsters to sit in the pilot’s chair and hold the wheel. It was lovely to see the kids’ reactions and you couldn’t help thinking how wonderful a memory it would be for them later. The hour-long tour was extremely enjoyable and my family said it was a highlight of that day’s activities. We sat on the starboard side as the tour proceeds in a mainly anti-clockwise direction, so excellent for unobstructed photography. Aft, there is an open viewing deck which is seated and is ideal for unobstructed views and pictures.
