Lake to Lake Trips

Paddle through the calm waters where the Manistee River meets Manistee Lake and continue toward the open shoreline of Lake Michigan. This two hour water adventure begins near the river mouth and guides you along a scenic channel through downtown Manistee. Enjoy unique waterfront views, passing boats, marinas, and natural shoreline as you move at a relaxed pace suitable for all ages and experience levels.

The route flows from Manistee Lake out into Lake Michigan, where you can finish at either First Street Beach or Fifth Avenue Beach. You may choose to leave your car at the beach and receive a ride back to the starting point, or arrange pickup at the end of your trip. The total paddling time ranges from one to two hours, depending on pace and water conditions, making it a flexible and enjoyable outing for families and friends.
