South Park Creek Stompin’ Summer Camp is an exciting week-long outdoor adventure for kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade, running from July 27th to 31st. This camp is perfect for curious campers who love exploring creeks, valleys, and streams, hunting for creatures big and small, and getting hands-on with nature. Activities include building and racing cardboard fish, investigating creek life, and spending the day outside in a safe, supervised environment. Kids should be prepared to get a bit muddy, as much of the camp happens outdoors. Campers are dropped off between 8:45 and 9:15 AM, and the day starts with fun name games and get-to-know-you activities. Morning and afternoon activities are separated by a lunch break and time in the shade, and the day ends with pick-up between 3:30 and 4:00 PM.
The camp provides a structured day including sunscreen and water breaks, bathroom stops, and plenty of guided outdoor exploration. Parents will receive check-in details one week before camp. Campers should bring a backpack containing lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, an extra set of clothes including shoes, a raincoat, any medication, and optionally sunglasses or a hat. Extra water and snacks will be available each day. Camp runs rain or shine, with indoor activities like crafts and games available during inclement weather. Electronics are not permitted during camp hours, and late pick-ups incur a small fee. The camp team is prepared to make accommodations if notified at least two weeks in advance. Financial assistance may be available via camperships.
