Outing - Full Moon Paddle - North Park

Experience the magic of North Park Lake under the glow of the full moon with this two hour evening paddle. As the sun sets, you will head onto the water to watch the moon rise over the trees while exploring the lake at night. This intermediate level paddle is ideal for those with some prior kayaking experience and offers a unique way to enjoy the lake after dark. Trip leaders are trained to guide you to the best moon viewing spots, though weather and visibility may affect how fully the moon appears.

All paddlers must be at least three years old or thirty five pounds, with anyone under thirteen required to ride in a tandem kayak with an adult. Expect to cover approximately one to one and a half miles. Reservations close twenty four hours before the event. Boat lights are provided for all participants, including extras for those bringing their own kayak. Please arrive fifteen minutes early, dress appropriately for the weather, wear closed toe shoes, and bring water. Wear quick drying clothing, and consider a headlamp for extra visibility. If bringing your own non motorized kayak, ensure it is seaworthy; staff will inspect boats before the trip and provide a rental if necessary.
