We travelled with Angus to scatter my father’s ashes on the Thames. Angus is a highly skilled captain with excellent communication skills. We were able to book the trip without difficulty and when we had to reschedule due to inclement weather Angus was very accommodating. Despite the strong winds and choppy sea, Angus ensured our safety throughout the trip and was extremely reassuring Although it was a sombre occasion, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to be back in summer when the weather is better
I cannot recommend Angus more. My dad wanted his ashes scattered on the Thames and we struggled to find someone who would do this London side and finding Brownes Thames Estuary Boat Trips really saved the day! Angus understood what a tender type of trip this was and couldn’t be more accommodating. It really was the perfect send off for our dad. Although I hope no one needs the recommendation should you want your loved one’s ashes scattered this way I would definitely recommend and would ride again. Thank you once again Angus!
We went out with Angus today to scatter the ashes of my Mum & Dad, my kids Nan & Grandad My Dad was in the navy in WW11 and regularly sailed from the pier, my mum grew up in Kent and loved her childhood there. Explained this to Angus and he took us past the pier and right over to the Kent side of the Estuary where we stopped and scattered them together. Angus played one of my mum’s favourite pieces of music which made it very special. He then took us over to the wreck of SS Montgomery which my Dad would have loved. This was a very emotional day for us and Angus made it perfect. Such a lovely guy Would most definitely recommend going out for a boat tour with him
