River Explorers- Kids Kayak 2 Day Clinic: Inflatable Spud Kayaks

River Explorers is a fun introduction to the sport of kayaking using inflatable kayaks on the Deerfield River, surrounding ponds, and reservoirs. This program is perfect for children who are curious about rivers and kayaking but want to ease into the sport in a safe and supportive environment. Our friendly professional instructors and guides are trained and enthusiastic about sharing their passion, ensuring each child feels confident, engaged, and inspired. Spending time outside in the summer, participants will learn about paddling, water safety, and river ecology while having a blast on the water.

The River Explorers program meets for two consecutive days and is designed for children aged ten to thirteen. Participants learn kayaking in flatwater and slow-moving water environments, building skills gradually in a structured, group-focused setting. The program provides consistency, guidance, and encouragement, helping children of all abilities gain confidence, develop new skills, and foster a lifelong love of paddling and respect for the river. Through hands-on experience, games, and exploration, kids enjoy a combination of learning, teamwork, and outdoor adventure that leaves them excited to continue their paddling journey.
