1-Tages-Kanutour: Oberbiel bis Weilburg

The canoe trip is a flexible and enjoyable adventure through one of Hesses most beautiful river landscapes. Starting at eleven am in Oberbiel, participants paddle past historic locks, lush riverbanks, and scenic villages. The route passes the Niederbiel lock, Solms campsite for a short break, and the Selters beer garden with its view of the famous mineral springs. Paddlers also see Löhnberg Castle and navigate the historic Löhnberg lock before reaching the impressive Weilburg shipping tunnel, the endpoint of the tour. This self-guided journey allows you to explore the Lahn River at your own pace while enjoying calm waters, nature, and cultural landmarks. The route offers a mix of light exercise, relaxation, and the opportunity to spot protected birds such as herons, swans, and kingfishers along the way. The day ends with boat drop-off at Weilburg, a convenient point just meters from the tunnel.

The tour is suitable for beginners, families, and groups, with life jackets mandatory for children under twelve and non-swimmers. Payment must be completed before starting if traveling independently. Meals, personal transportation, and accommodation are not part of the tour, allowing visitors to plan freely.
