The Ravenna cruise port is located in a rural area, so there’s not much around it. However, the port itself is very well-organized, making the boarding process smooth and quick. Since it’s a bit of a drive, I chose to stay in Bologna, which made it easier to reach the port on the day of departure. I boarded a Royal Caribbean ship here, and while the experience was smooth, it's important to plan ahead. The port has basic facilities, but don’t expect much in terms of dining or shopping options nearby. If you have time, explore Ravenna’s historic sites, like the stunning Byzantine mosaics, which are worth a visit. Overall, it’s a functional port, but proper planning is essential to ensure a smooth departure from here. Enjoy your cruise!

We boarded the RC Explorer of the Seas here. No issues with boarding and had an Amazing Trip. Highly recommended RC!

The transfer from Venice took just over two hours. We had pre-booked a van with a private driver through a company called WazUp, and the experience was excellent. We also used them for the return trip from the port to the Venice (VCE) airport. It turned out to be much more affordable than booking through the cruise line.

Port equipment is very poor compared with others. You have to pull all your languages from your car till the entrance, which is quite far a way. Road quality is bad. There's no any building there, only a big tent where the check-in is. But people are nice.

Not much going for it really, unless you own one of the thousands of yachts moored in the marina or want to watch some pretty hefty ships going up & down the waterway. Has got a cheap ferry across the water €1 each way.
