Came here on a January Saturday just after lunch hour. Ate lunch at Come Chingon stall. The food is good and affordable and the owner even gave us free drinks, though it’s over their happy hour. The owners are extremely friendly and speaks good English. Good: There are so many things to see. Lots of food and merchandise and souvenirs that you can eat, see, and buy (just dun touch or take photos unnecessarily). There’s an artsy open air market in the park outside called Jardin Allende, showcasing artwork from various artists, which you can purchase too (though I read it’s only on weekends only). Bad: Market looks dated but that’s typical of a local market. Location is a bit far from metro station so takes a bit of walking to get to. Overall: Recommended to visit if in Mexico City.
Wonderful market with tons of fresh food and gifts. People were very friendly and welcoming. Great place to spend an afternoon browsing and eating.
Please come visit the sweet man that makes small piñata style ornaments. Beautiful hand crafted and unique characters!!! The man selling them inside this market was so kind and truly deserves all the sales. They make the perfect souvenir!!!
