Elephant Sanctuary & Fireflies Combo Tour

The tour begins with a visit to the Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, established in 1989 by the Malaysian Wildlife Sanctuary within the Krau Wildlife Reserve to protect rare Asian elephants. Currently home to 30–35 rescued elephants, this sanctuary serves as a rehabilitation center for those displaced by poaching and deforestation. Some elephants, unable to return to the wild, remain under lifelong care and are trained to assist in future rescues. Guests will have the chance to engage with these majestic creatures through feeding and observation, while also learning from an informative conservation documentary. After the sanctuary visit, the journey continues toward Kuala Selangor with a stop at Bukit Melawati, home to friendly Silverleaf Monkeys and rich with colonial history.
