We had the full day experience and for those who want to book it, please just take a Grab and visit the places yourselves. The “guide” was our driver and nothing more. No explanation when we stopped somewhere, just a time when we had to be back. You will not visit the tea plantation, only the souvenir shop and stop for a picture. @Cameron Secrets & future visitors: please do not visit the butterfly farm anymore, it is a place for animal cruelty where all sorts of animals are displayed in extremely small cages in very concerning conditions, do not sponsor these kinds of malpractice, we were shocked by what we saw. Same goes for the animals at the Orchid garden. Last stop was a strawberry farm which, turned out, was owned by the family of the driver, we could stare at some strawberries and order a milkshake but once again nothing more. We asked if we could see the strawberries and get information about the processes and the driver hesitantly opened a gate so we could see one up close, that was it. Overall the only good thing from this tour was the short stop at Mossy Forest. We paid RM100 per person for a driver. For half that money you can take a taxi all day and visit and see more of Cameron Highlands. I’m sad this was my one day experience here.

The full day mossy forest tour is jam packed! We visited mossy forest, boh tea plantation, strawberry farm, orchid farm, butterfly farm, market and temple. The entrance fees are not included in the tour so make sure that you have cash with you as it does add up! The biggest piece of advice that I wish we'd been told was that you should avoid the weekend if at all possible as it is very popular with local people. We sadly did not know this and every stop was so busy. In particular we had to queue for 45 minutes to get a tea at the plantation which really took away from the experience. The traffic was also crazy and the tour is run from a land rover that they pack full l, ours was particularly squished so a little uncomfortable! The mossy forest is cold and wet so beware and make sure that you have coats. It's quite interesting to wander around and our guide Francis was amazing at pointing out and explaining lots of different flora! There are no toilets here. The boh plantation was so busy that we just got a cup of tea here, we didn't have time for the factory tour etc. We then went to the orchid farm which was interesting and again Francis explained what we could see. Lunch was at a Chinese restaurant and this was not included. The food here was reasonably tasty. Next stop was the butterfly farm which my husband and I decided to not visit. You just have to wait for the rest of the group, there were a few shops to wander around. Once our group reappeared we were pleased to not have gone in as the conditions for the animals weren't great. Next up was the strawberry farm, it was good to see how they farm strawberries at such high altitudes and the strawberry milkshake was divine. We then visited a fruit and veg market. Francis told us of some fruits to try and the yellow dragon fruit was amazing!! He then got us some tamarillo to try. We then finished at the Buddhist temple which was again interesting to look around. Overall a good tour for the price but don't do it on the weekend if you can avoid!!

We did the half day mossy forest tour with Mr.Wan. He was very friendly and a great driver. I would really recommend joining this tour rather than independent travel to these places, as the roads and traffic are very difficult to navigate. We chose Cameron Secrets over the other tour operators because their communication was friendly, fast and professional while booking, and throughout. Be advised that the entry fee to the mossy forest is not included in the tour price.

Govin is so passionate about what he does, and he really must be the best guide ever as I can't imagine anything better!! Our tour was so enjoyable and he was telling us so many things and details about the area, the tea gardens and the forest. He was also very considerate towards the different needs of the group and adapted the hike accordingly. I really recommend the half-day land rover tour!

Jason was a great guide and I highly recommend this company. We did the Cameron Valley Descent. It felt like we were walking through the jungle for majority of the time and then we finished walking through the tea plantation which was a great way to end. Jason was very knowledgeable about plants, environment etc. There were regular pauses for him to show us different things, so although some parts of the trek were steep there were plenty of times where we stopped for a quick rest. Great snacks too ☺️☺️
