Return train travel (Jungle Express)

This May half term, embark on a wild adventure aboard the Jungle Express at Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. From 23rd to 25th May 2026, Bolton Abbey Station transforms into a vibrant jungle full of exotic creatures, animatronic animals, and interactive surprises. Guests are welcomed by jungle explorers and can spot slithering snakes, tropical birds, and other wildlife-themed attractions along the way. The journey features a lively jungle show with music, movement, and audience participation, ensuring children and adults alike are entertained from start to finish. Every child receives a jungle goody bag filled with treats and themed activities to enjoy during the ride and take home as a special memento.

The adventure lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes with show start times at 1015, 1145, 1315, and 1500. Families can capture memories with photo opportunities alongside costumed characters and jungle backdrops, creating lasting keepsakes from the day. Guests are advised to arrive at least twenty minutes early for check-in at Bolton Abbey Station. This event is designed for families, children, and anyone who loves interactive storytelling and immersive experiences. The combination of a heritage steam train, jungle-themed entertainment, and hands-on activities makes it a unique and memorable outing during the school holiday period.
