In November ‘25 Ambrose delivered a wonderful mountain skills 2 course for a group of us who are scout leaders. Despite being reasonably experienced walkers we learnt a huge amount and it was all delivered brilliantly. The night navigation session was a particular highlight. Back again with Ambrose having previously done my Mountain Skills Assessment with him. This time I was on Mountain Leader 1 with three others. All the content was covered clearly with plenty of time to discus things and practice. The night navigation in poor visibility was tough, and I think we all felt that we'd been pushed a little out of our comfort zones to find areas to improve on which is what you want for ML training. As usual Ambrose was very clear, patient, and made sure we got the most out of our time together.
