Great tour and tour guide. We were able to see alligators despite cold / overcast weather thanks to the guide’s knowledge. Many beautiful birds as well. The only negative: we chose to pay for the shuttle service, which in reality was a regular car that picked us up. They had booked 6 people in a car that could only comfortably seat 5, and as a result it was a very crammed 20 min drive. Otherwise a fantastic trip I would recommend.
We had a great time on the Jean Lafitte Swamp Tour. The bayou is peaceful and beautiful, and with the help of our guide we were able to spot 5–6 alligators resting along the water — he pointed them out and explained a lot about the wildlife and the area. The ride felt relaxing, not rushed, and it was easy to just enjoy the scenery. One fun surprise was the souvenir shop — they have some really unique and creative magnetic souvenirs that we loved. The tour lasted close to two hours, and overall it was a memorable experience and definitely worth doing if you’re visiting the area. We’d happily recommend it!
