I booked the Moana Kea stargazing tour with pickup at the Grand Naniloa in Hilo. Our guide, Tory, made the excursion amazing. One of the best I’ve been on. We did the rainbow falls, a lava tube, lunch was included and good. She brought some fruit, freshly picked, to go along with that was really good. Throughout she talked about the local agricultural, culture, geography, and language. Was really a great source of knowledge and fun. The stargazing was definitely the highlight. We stopped at a spot around 6800ft and it was perfect. A little less cold and amazing visibility. She brought a telescope, hot drinks, and was super knowledgeable. Gave us all the time we wanted and then brought us back. Top notch guide and great experience. Highly recommend.
